Approximately 250 sailors and supporters of Ontario Sailing enjoyed an evening filled with fine wine tasting, great food, over 150 silent auction items, a fantastic live auction, the chance to win a Mini Cooper and dancing the night away!

 

A highlight of the evening was the inaguaral presentation of the "Legends of Ontario Sailing" Award, sponsored by Canadian Yachting Magazine.  This award is designed to "honour the past to inspire the future."  The recipients for the first year of the award were the brave crews of Evergreen (RHYC) and Magistri (RCYC) that survived and endured the great storms that hit the 1979 Fastnet race.  Many of the crew members and their loved ones were in attendance and some incredible stories were shared from their experience.
