The kick off for the Toronto International Boatshow was the Boating for Children's Charity Fundraiser where much excitement surrounded the silent auction as many bidding wars around hot items such as digital cameras, kayaks, and hotel stays began.  Through dedicated efforts of our volunteers, Ashley Lethbridge, Irene McNeill, Neil McNeill, Erin McNeill, Amy McNeill, Mike Weber, Peter and Edith Sandford the evening was a success!  Items were won, money was made, and smiles were everywhere!

After such an eventful evening, the Boatshow began it's 9 day adventure on Saturday January 15th.  With the launch of Ontario Sailing's new website and logo, as well as the hosting of the Virtual Sailing Simulator many visitors at the show decided to come and check us out.  The thrill of the day was the opportunity for new sailors to get a sailing lesson from some of our Canadian Olympic Sailing Team members, John Curtis, Oskar Johannson, Deirdre Crampton, and Bernard Luttmer.

With only 2 days left of the show, there is still some time to come and check out all that's new at Ontario Sailing.
