Sailing for People with Disabilities
 

  
Are you some one or know of some one with a disability that would like to take up sailing or continue sailing? There are many sailing and yacht clubs out there that offer sailing program for people with disabilities. There are adapted boats that make sailing available to everyone.

On the completion of White Sail I the boater will be able to preform the following tasks in wind speeds of 4-9 knots (8-15 km/h) where applicable.
  
Section I - Safety
Section II - Seamanship
  
Section III - Preliminaries
Section IV - Rigging
Section V - Boat Handling (Under Instructor Direction)
Section VI - Derigging and Securing
  
Training Timeline: 2-3 weeks
  

  
  
On the completion of White Sail II the boater will be able to preform the following tasks in wind speeds of 4-9 knots (8-15 km/h) where applicable.
  
Section I - Terminology
Section II - Seamanship
  
Section III - Boat Handling (Under Instructor Direction)
  
Training Timeline: 2-3 weeks
  

  
  
On the completion of White Sail III the boater will be able to sail with confidence, competently in wind speeds of 4-9 knots (8-15 km/h) and preform the following skills proficiently without supervision
  
Section I - Safety
Section II - Terminology
Section III - Seamanship
Section IV - Rules of the Road
  
Section V - Boat Handling
